Pharmacist Support has said it has “renewed” its partnership with the pharmaceutical company Teva UK, a collaboration the charity said will help it raise awareness of the services it offers pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists, trainees and students.
The strengthening of ties between the two will see Teva UK continue as the headline sponsor of Pharmacist Support’s annual Pharmacist ACTNow campaign which provides mental health and wellbeing support for pharmacy teams.
Pharmacist Support said the partnership will also help it raise awareness of its free and confidential services, develop mental health and wellbeing resources and deliver keynote sessions at pharmacy events.
Teva UK has been working with Pharmacist Support since 2020 when the generics company pledged its support for the ACTNow campaign. Their partnership has been going since 2022.
“Our vision is for no one in our pharmacy family to face challenging times without us by their side and, as an independent charity, collaboration is crucial to the success of our charitable work,” said Pharmacist Support chief executive Danielle Hunt (pictured).
“We’re delighted to renew our partnership with Teva UK so that we can raise vital funds and be there for people across our profession who are facing difficulty.”
Teva UK general manager Kim Innes said: “Teva UK is proud to continue our partnership with Pharmacist Support and the important work they do in championing wellbeing within the pharmacy profession.
“As a front-line health service, pharmacy serves as a linchpin in healthcare, providing a valuable service in often challenging and pressurised circumstances.”
